Ledyard HS Student Honored with Lieberman College Scholarship

Brian Healy is one of five HS graduating Connecticut students awarded a Joe Lieberman Connecticut Scholarship.

The Joe Lieberman Connecticut Scholarship Fund announced Friday that Brian Healy, who graduated Ledyard High School this year, will receive one of five $1,500 college scholarships, The Hartford Courant reports. Healy will attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the fall.

Patch has reported in the past that Healy has been on the honor roll call at Ledyard High School numerous times.

Brian said that he plans to study aerospace engineering, and casually proposed changing American elections to a ranked-voting system away from the present single-choice system, which he noted “really encourages the two-party system,” The Hartford Courant reports.
