Radio Campaign: Breaking the Chains of Addiction, You can too!

We have three real life stories about addiction to run as a radio campaign during July and August on WBMW. We need at least two more people to tell their stories. Estelle will create a PSA to recruit more storytellers.

Training Session

LPC and GASP will partner to sponsor and all-day training session for all coalition members with Theresa Bishop from CADCA, “Key Essentials to Affect Community Change” on October 12 or 13, 2016. Please click the link to the poll to cast your vote as to which day would be better for you.

  • We need to order the following marketing materials to promote the coalition to the community:
  • Placemats and coasters for restaurants (Valentino’s, Fireside Pizza, and Country Buffet)
  • Ice cream cone sleeves (cows and cones?)
  • Folders, pens, pencils for students
  • Revise brochure

Community Outreach

  • Focus groups will be scheduled to garner more support from students.
  • A subcommittee has been established to discuss the possibility of re-establishing a Juvenile Review Board. The first meeting is scheduled for July 19th at 9:00 AM.

  • July/August: Radio Campaign
  • August: Take It to the Box Campaign
  • September 20: LPC meeting at new LPD at 2 p.m.)
  • September 20: Media Marketing and Education meeting (third Tuesday at 10 a.m.)
  • September TBD: Kevin Sabet, date and location TBD maybe the Marriott
  • October 12 or 13: Theresa Bishop, name and location TBD

In-Kind Contribution Documentation Needed

For community sectors that have a signed CIA, I am in the process of completing a form to document in kind contributions. I will be in touch with you next week to sign off on.
