Ledyard Seniors Get Head Start On Super Bowl
Who says a Super Bowl party has to take place during the Super Bowl?
With many years of super bowls to recount, Ledyard seniors headed to the senior center Friday to get a head start on all the Super Bowl mania that is scheduled to being Sunday.
Floyd Evans, a long-time New York Giants fan, said he has seen his favorite team play on all their home fields except the MetLife stadium that was finished in 2010.
While a DVD of greatest Super Bowl moments played on a TV nearby, Evans said he hopes Super Bowl XLVI is a close game.

"If you're going to beat them, you want to beat them when the best is out there," he said of the rumors that Patriots' tight end Rob Gronkowski may not be able to play due to an ankle injury.
The crowd at the senior center was overwhelmingly Patriots fans but fans of any football team would enjoy the menu of pizza, wings, sandwiches, chips and nachos.
