Massive Resort Great Wolf On Track For Spring Opening At Foxwoods

LEDYARD, CT — Construction on Great Wolf Lodge at Foxwoods is making good progress, and the the massive water park resort is anticipated to open May 23.

The addition of the resort is also anticipated to create 500 new jobs.

Great Wolf will include a 91,000-square-foot water park along with 549 hotel rooms on 13 acres of land adjacent to Foxwoods Resort Casino. It will be the 23rd Great Wolf resort in North America.

A 61,000-square-foot family entertainment center, dubbed Great Wolf Adventure Park, is also in the works. It will include virtual-reality experiences, a ropes course, a miniature golf course, an arcade, and more.

"Together with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, we’re not only expanding our offerings at Foxwoods but also setting a new standard for family-friendly entertainment in the region. The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut has also announced a new partnership with the resort. Great Wolf Lodge is a 2025 Regional Benefactor, according to a statement from the chamber.

Great Wolf has contributed "over and above the Chamber’s standard membership dues structure." Its contributions will "support vital programs produced annually by the Chamber for the small businesses and nonprofit community."
