Support a Worthy Cause-Touch a Truck at E.L. Niantic Bay

Shuttle Parking will make for Easy Access.

Spend a beautiful day on Niantic Bay, attending the Thames West Auxiliary Child and Family Agency’s Touch-A-Truck on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 9 am to 2pm at McCook Point Park in Niantic. There will be a Horn Free Hour from 9 to 10 a.m. especially for the younger set and for noise-sensitive children.

This year, to make parking easier, in addition to on-site parking, we will once again have a shuttle, run by Laz Parking , that will allow participants to park at Niantic Center School and next door at Telaid, in a combined area that will hold over 100 cars. Then, participants will be driven, free of charge, to McCook Park. A big thank you to LAZ and Telaid for this stress-free parking arrangement. Easy in Easy out.

Another new facet of Touch a Truck will be that Breakfast will be served. Imagine yourself under the Big Top, eating your breakfast by Niantic Bay. The Rolling Tomato will be serving Breakfast Pizza. Tacos Flores will have Breakfast tacos. Curb your Appetite will have Breakfast Sandwiches, Breakfast Sausage dogs, and Donut Bread.

Muchies will have Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwiches, Scrambled Eggs, Veggies and Cheddar Stuffed Pita Wraps, and Brunch Burgers with Bacon, Egg and Cheese. Come early and beat the crowds!

The requested donation is $5 per person. Children under age two are admitted free of charge. Proceeds benefit the work of Child & Family Agency of Southeastern CT as it annually meets the needs of over seven thousand children and their families in our communities. Child and Family Programs deal with child abuse prevention, the treatment of family violence, teen pregnancy, children's health care, childcare, parent education and children’s mental health. Last year families were served in 67 towns in New Haven, Middlesex and New London Counties- the Child & Family Agency service region.
