MASHANTUCKET, CT — A group of poker players at Foxwoods Resort Casino won a total of $287,481 in a jackpot recently.

The "electrifying poker moment" happened July 17 when "a rare hand saw quad eights beaten by quad kings, triggering a massive $287,481 Hold’em Jackpot payout," according to the casino.

Michael E., holding the losing hand of quad eights, walked away with the largest share: $114,993. James R., with the winning hand of quad kings, took home $57,496.
