Manchester School Calendar: Key Dates For The 2024-25 Academic Year

MANCHESTER, CT — Summer is almost over for students in the Manchester public school system.
The first day of school in Manchester is scheduled for Aug. 28 for grades K through 4 and grades 5, 7 and 9. The following day is the first day for grades 6 and 8 and 10 through 12.
The last day is slated for June 12.

- Oct. 14: Indigenous Peoples Day
- Nov. 11: Veterans Day
- Nov. 28-29: Thanksgiving recess
- Dec. 23, 2024 to Jan. 1, 2025: Winter recess
- Jan. 6: Three Kings Day
- Jan. 20: MLK Day
- Feb. 17-18: Presidents Day recess
- March 31: Eid-el Fitr
- April 14-18: spring break/Good Friday
- May 26: Memorial Day
- June 19: Juneteenth (if school is still in session)
