Hello Friends,
My name is Michelle Puzzo, and I’m the co-founder of UR Community Cares, a nonprofit serving Connecticut. Click here to read our 2024 Annual Report: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1XN7x43eMRc2sPVsqstYbUVQ15AedZWY8?usp=drive_link
At our core, we’re here to make life a little easier for people. Through our unique website and programs, we connect people who need help with volunteers who are ready to make a difference. But here’s the truth: this only works if people like you get involved.

That’s why I’m excited to share our 2024 Annual Report. It highlights the lives we’ve touched together, from older adults gaining confidence with technology to nursing home residents feeling the joy of fresh air and freedom on a Cycling Without Age ride.
And while we celebrate these milestones, there’s still so much more we can do. We need more volunteers. Whether you’re retired, earning hours for school, fulfilling a court requirement, or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, we have a place for you.

Here’s a glimpse of what we offer:
Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Lend a hand with raking leaves, organizing, talking, or other simple acts of kindness.
Cycling Without Age: Be a rickshaw pilot, giving older adults the chance to experience the community again.
UR Vision Station: Help people who are blind or have low vision explore assistive technology.
UR Tech Center: Support older and disabled adults as they learn digital skills, stay safe online, and connect with others.
Every hour you give strengthens someone else’s independence and dignity. Every act of service brings our community closer together.
So today, I invite you to not only read about what we’ve achieved, but to be part of what comes next. Step up as a volunteer, bring your family, friends, or coworkers, and let’s make sure no one in Connecticut is left behind. You can sign up on our website: www.urcommunitycares.org
Because at UR Community Cares, it’s not strangers helping strangers, it’s neighbors helping neighbors.
With gratitude,
