Variance Required For New Manchester High School Message Board
A new electronic message board is planned for the front lawn at Manchester High School.

MANCHESTER, CT — The proposed new electronic message board outside Manchester High School is to be slightly larger than the current one and thus will require a variance from local regulators.
The Manchester Zoning Board of Appeals is slated to review the variance request on April 26.
The current sign, which is manually operated and sits on the West Middle Turnpike lawn at Manchester High School, stands 8 feet, 2 inches. The new message board will stand 2 feet higher, according to the plans. The message board itself will measure 8 feet, 7 inches wide and 4 feet, 1 inch high.
