$250K Lottery Prize Sold In Meriden

The big win came on a scratch ticket, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

MERIDEN, CT — A winning scratch ticket worth $250,000 was recently sold in Meriden, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

A Meriden resident, who wished to remain anonymous, won $250,000 on a $250,000 CA$HWORD scratch ticket that was sold at Village Liquor at 164 Scott St. in Meriden, according to lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
