Carjacking Suspect Sought After Crash In Meriden: Police
Police said the suspect fled on foot after the stolen vehicle crashed.
MERIDEN, CT — Officials are advising Meriden residents to be “on the lookout” for a carjacking suspect who they said might be armed.
Officials said Connecticut State Police are leading the investigation into a carjacking that happened in Branford early Wednesday afternoon.
A pursuit ensued and ended when the stolen vehicle crashed near the Berlin/Meriden line, according to officials.

Officials said the suspect then fled on foot.
Police are advising residents to be on the lookout for a Black man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a slight build, who was last seen wearing a black mask, a dark-colored sweatshirt, slim gray pants and black sneakers with white soles.

“This suspect may be armed,” officials wrote in an advisory. “If you see a person matching this description, please dial 911 and do NOT approach.”
