A woman won a $50,000 lottery prize after her father said the scratch ticket took too long to play and gave it to her, officials said.
MERIDEN, CT — A woman won a $50,000 lottery prize in Meriden after her father said the scratch ticket took too long to play and passed it on to her, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
“Abby’s dad said that $50,000 CA$HWORD took too long to play, so he gave her the ticket,” according to lottery officials. “She scratched — and won the $50,000 top prize! She’s being nice and giving him some cash and planning a birthday getaway for her big 30!”
The winning ticket was sold at Quik – Pik at 692 East Main St. in Meriden.
