Meriden Pride Fest 2025 was held on Saturday on the grounds of the Unitarian Universalist Church on Paddock Ave. in Meriden. The event, a party that was a mix of positive pride energy and a joyful celebration, ran from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This was the second year for the Meriden event.

Thirty-four vendors on site included queer-owned shops and some food trucks. There was a live DJ spinning tunes throughout the day, in addition to several appearances by a special musical guest Alex Reid.

The host site had a table staffed with volunteers and attendees were invited to visit a quiet garden in the center of the back lawn.

The dedicated members of Free Mom Hugs were in attendance to do what they do best--give out strong hugs to kids of all ages.

Among the vendors that took part in the event were many talented crafters and small businesses displaying their wares. Several health-focused organizations had tables stocked with handouts. Out Films of CT and The Wicked Press were also represented. There were also representatives of the Meriden Democratic Town Committee. A silent auction was held inside the church.

The nearby off-site parking at Thomas Hooker Elementary School and the overflow parking lot was filled, and pedestrians could be seen walking to the event.

The Meriden Pride Committee who worked to make this happen included Diadette Hernandez, Julian Sims Dez Marie Rondeau Damaris Cruz Tracey Virtue, Kristy Goodrich, and Faye Mcname. Rev. Tony Lorenzen and President Nancy Burton of the hosting church were also partners in the event.
