Meriden Woman In Desperate Need Of Kidney Transplant

MERIDEN, CT — A young woman and her family have issued a desperate plea to help save her life. Barietta Perez, 22, is in need of a kidney transplant, according to FOX 61.

People have two kidneys but only need one to live. Finding a donor for Perez would be "like a miracle," Perez's mother told FOX 61.

Her brother is a match but is too young to donate. Perez's health problems began in high school, and she been on dialysis for years.
