Obituary: James Ruotolo, 68 of Meriden

James was a retired software developer that had a heart of gold and was a devoted and loving family man.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home) James Ruotolo, 68 of Meriden, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. He was surrounded by his beloved wife of 38 years, Donna Rawson Ruotolo, and his two loving children, Erica Paganetti of Durham and Paul Ruotolo of Southington.

He had three beautiful grandchildren, Tanyon, Bennett, and Callie. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Debra Iodice of Hamden, a niece, Kristen Cunha of Massachusetts, son-in-law Jason Paganetti and daughter-in-law Amanda Ruotolo.

James was a retired software developer born in New Haven, December 9, 1953. He couldn’t sit still during retirement, so he picked up a part time job to keep him active. In his spare-time he enjoyed cooking, watching the Giants and most importantly spending time with family.

He had a heart of gold and always tried to support his family in any way he could. He was always beaming when one of his kids hit a major accomplishment in their lives and couldn’t wait to tell others.

He was the son to the late Orlando and Carmela Ruotolo of West Haven. He was also the brother to Karen Sega of Virginia, Paul Ruotolo of North Haven, and Kenneth Ruotolo of West Haven.

Funeral Services will be held at Sisk Brother’s Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden on Saturday at 10am. Burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden. Visitation will be Saturday from 9a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
