Obituary: Louis H. Falcigno, 75, formerly of Meriden

Louis, a decorated U.S. Marine, previously serving in Vietnam, was a longtime successful designer of one-of-a-kind custom motorcycles.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Louis H. Falcigno, 75, of Fort Pierce, FL, died suddenly at Hospice House in Fort Pierce, FL, on January 17, 2022.

He was the son of the late Florence Buijnarowski Falcigno and the son of the late Louis Falcigno, Sr. He was the father to his son Louie Falcigno of Grove City, Ohio.

He is survived by his only son, Lou Falcigno, Jr. and his sister, Linda Falcigno Maresca. Louis was drafted into the Marines upon graduating from Wilcox Technical School in Meriden. During his tour of duty in Vietnam he was wounded twice by enemy artillery. Because of his heroic efforts in the Vietnam encounter, he was awarded 2 Purple Hearts.

Louis had an amazing quality in designing one-of-a­ kind motorcycles. He became known throughout the U.S. for his bike designs, where many enthusiasts reached out to him. His bikes were shown in many of the motorcycle magazines.

He designed bikes for customers throughout the United States who only wanted to have Lou design their motorcycles. It was known that several famous stars from Hollywood commissioned Lou to create bikes unlike any others.

He was featured often in many of the major Motorcycle Magazines displaying his bikes.
