Obituary: Luis E. Rodriguez, 44, of Meriden
Luis, known as full of life and for his laughter, was currently an employee of 3M and a loyal New York Yankees fan.
MERIDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Luis E. Rodriguez, 44, of Meriden, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Brie (Schilling) Rodriguez.
He was born in New Britain on November 12, 1977, a son of Luis R. Rodriguez and Felicita Rosa. Luis was employed by 3M and was a loyal N.Y. Yankees fan. He was full of life and brought laughter to many.
In addition to his wife and parents, Luis is survived by the pride and joy of his life, his daughter, Viviana Rodriguez; his sister, Nancy Rodriguez-Rosa (William Vazquez); his mother-in-law, Sharon Powers; his grandmother, Aida Roman; his sister-in-law, Erin Schilling; his brother-in-law, Jason Schilling; and nieces, Nina and Aliyah Vazquez.
He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Robert Schilling.
Luis’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Thursday, June 9th from 4 to 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 10th at 10 a.m., directly at St. Joseph Church, 22 Goodwill Ave., Meriden.
Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to establish an education fund for Viviana c/o Brie Rodriguez.
