Obituary: Sharon Stern Klotzberger, 76, of Meriden

Sharon, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was most recently employed by the Pez Factory in Orange.

MERIDEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Sharon Stern Klotzberger, age 76, entered into eternal rest on January 30, 2022. She was born in New Haven, the eldest of three children, on July 22, 1945, daughter of the late Robert and Constance Horton Stern.

Sharon was a New Haven area resident for most of her life, she graduated from East Haven High School and over the years worked at White Tower, Macy’s and PEZ Candy Factory until her retirement.

Sharon is survived and will be remembered with love, by her children; Cheryl (Darris Snow) Klotzberger of New Haven, David (Rachael) Klotzberger of Milford, her loving grandchildren, Donald Klotzberger, Robin Klotzberger, David Klotzberger, Donna Jamie Klotzberger, Tricia Russell and Taylor Klotzberger, as well as 11 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother, Robert Stern of Milford, her uncle, Earl Horton, her aunt, Marianne Stern and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, Sharon is predeceased by her husband Donald Klotzberger Sr., her longtime companion Edward Rawls, her son Donald Klotzberger Jr., her brother Michael Stern and her sister-in-law Kathy Stern.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 6th from 3-5pm. To celebrate Sharon’s life, a Memorial Service will commence at the funeral home at 5pm.

Interment will be private in the family plot. Masks will be required for all services. To honor her life, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
