Providing Care: Bridgeport Local Hero

BRIDGEPORT, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

This submission comes from Inez Burton, who has nominated Celina Oliphant.

Hero's job: Child care or elder care

Relationship to nominee: Aide for my sister.

Reason for recognition: Celina has been with us for years. During this pandemic she has worked constantly for us. Rain snow or what ever it maybe she showed up for my sister. She even took on responsibilities for me as I am and elder also. Celina saw Covid and still didn't walk.
