Attic Fire Damages Home In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A home in Middletown was damaged by fire early Tuesday morning.

The South Fire Department initially responded to the scene on Lake Ridge Heights and immediately encountered flames in the attic.

A tanker shuttle was dispatched with Middlefield, Westfield, Portland, Haddam and Durham supplying trucks, fire officials said.

Middletown Fire also responded.

The fire was quickly contained to the attic, fire officials said.

The South District fire marshal is investigating the cause.
