Body Found in Old Lyme Belonged to Missing Middletown Man
Middletown resident Charles Carr went missing in November 2015.

Police responded to Osprey Road in Old Lyme on Wednesday, Feb. 10, after receiving a report of a body in the water. On Feb. 11, the body was identified as that of Charles Carr, 43, of Middletown.
Middletown Police confirmed that the body is that of Carr, who was reported missing on Nov. 27, 2015. No foul play is suspected at this time.
“The Connecticut State Police, the Middletown Police Department and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner worked in conjunction to confirm the identity,” the Middletown Police Department said in a prepared statement.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed through dental records that the body was indeed that of Carr.
“We ask that you please respect the family’s privacy at this time of mourning,” police said.
