City Man to Serve Two Years for Child Porn Possession

A 34-year-old city man pled guilty this week to third-degree possession of child pornography — a deal that will send him behind bars for two years, according to the Middletown Press.

After a police investigation early last year, Middletown Police arrested Bruce E. Barrett Jr., 34, of 509 Butternut St., on March 11 for first-degree possession of child pornography after picking him up at home.

The Press, citing court documents, said detectives found 61 child porn videos and a pediatric physician confirmed the subjects were between 2 and 13 years old. Barrett will serve two years in jail then 10 years of probation, according to court documents.
