Community Rallying To Support Family Of Middletown Man Killed In Tragic Accident
Thousands of dollars have already been pledged to assist the family of a Middletown man who died in a freak accident Monday.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The community is rallying to support the family of a Middletown man killed in a tragic accident Monday.
More than $34,000 have already been pledged via a GoFundMe account.
Simon Stopka, 29, the owner of a local tree-trimming business, died when a car fell off a lift and landed on him. He is survived by his wife, Natalia, their 3-year-old daughter, Lea, and 2-year-old daughter, Jolie.

"Natalia is now facing the immense challenge of navigating life without her partner while caring for two young children. During this time of deep grief, we want to surround her with love and support in every way possible," the narrative on the GoFundMeAccount. "We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden she now carries—covering everyday expenses, childcare, household needs, and giving her the time and space to heal without the added pressure of financial stress.
