Convicted Felons Facing Drug, Weapons Charges After Arrest In Middletown: Warrants
Police pinned in a car with two suspected drug dealers inside and then took them into custody, according to warrants.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Police in Middletown last month stopped a car with two suspected drug dealers inside and then took them into custody, according to warrants.
Police released the warrants Thursday via a Patch Freedom of Information request.
The case dates back to June 24. At 7:08 p.m. that day, detectives from the Middletown Police Department were parked inside the lot of 151 William St. and observed a black Subaru Impreza drive
westbound and subsequently parallel park on William Street next to Sbona Towers, according to warrants.

Detectives identified the driver ad 33-year-old Anthony Blue, who is known to them "from previous police interactions," according to warrants.
Detectives were aware that Blue had a suspended Connecticut driver's license and a history of fleeing from police during attempted motor vehicle stops, resulting in a collision with police and civilian vehicles, according to warrants. Blue also has a history narcotics sales, according to warrants.

Detectives were able to pin the car in and noticed a front passenger, 33-year-old Michael Williams, attempt to hide something, but nevertheless, Williams had loose pills on him, according to a warrant. Detectives seized 24.5 round green pills identified as Klonopin, which requires a prescription, according to warrants. A search of the front passenger compartment where Williams was seated resulted in the seizure of 15 wax folds commonly used for fentanyl packaging, each bearing a black ink imprint of a female’s face with the word "surprise," on them, according to warrants.
In the glove box were an orange-handled knife in a sheath that had an edged blade measuring more than 4inches, a small hatchet with a sharpened blade and a knife with an edged blade measuring more than 7 inches, according to warrants.
Williams was also in possession of .2 grams of crack cocaine inside a sock, accprdomng to warrants. Investigators also seized 1.3 grams of crack cocaine and .5 grams of fentanyl, packaged for sale, found inside Williams' underwear, according to warrants.
The location of the stop was within 10 yards of the Sbona Towers which is a housing complex owned and operated by the Middletown Housing Area and classified as subsidized housing, police said.
Blue was charged with:
- Three counts of illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle (with corresponding conspiracies)
- Three counts of Possession of a controlled substance (with conspiracies)
- Three counts of possession with the intent to sell (with conspiracies)
- Illegal possession prescription drugs (with a conspiracy)
- Possession of a controlled Substance within 200 feet of a housing authority complex (with a conspiracy)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Driving with a suspended registration
- Driviing with a suspended license
A State Police Records Check of Blue identified him as a convicted felon with a most recent arrest
by the East Hampton Police Department for larceny of a motor vehicle in October 2023, according to warrants.
Blue has additional arrests that include:
- Out of Middletown — the use of motor Vehicle without permission and possession of a controlled substance (July 2022)
- Out of Torrington — disorderly conduct and Interfering (November 2023)
- Out of Middletown — Failure to appear in court, engaging police in a pursuit, evading reasonability, reckless driving; the sale of narcotics, possession of a controlled Substance and third-degree larceny
Williams was charged with:
- Illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle (three counts with conspiracies)
- Possession of a controlled substance (three counts with conspiracies)
- Possession of narcotics with the intent to sell (three counts with conspiracies)
- Interfering with police
- Illegal possession of a prescription drug (with a conspiracy)
- Possession of a controlled substance within 200 feet of a housing authority complex (with a conspiracy)
A State Police Records Check of Williams resulted in identifying him as a convicted felon with
numerous narcotics-related offenses, according to warrants, Williams was most recently arrested on June 14 by the Newington Police Department for possession of a controlled substance, popssession of drug paraphernalia, criminal impersonation, and interfering, according to warrants.
Williams has additional arrests to that include:
- March 2024 in Windsor for driving while under suspension and reckless driving
- December 2o24 in Windsor for Engaging Police in a pursuit
