Karate Instructor Accused Of 'Inappropriate Relationship': Police
The man is accused of having an "inappropriate relationship" with a juvenile student, according to Cromwell police.

CROMWELL, CT — Orest Markiv, 32, who is a karate instructor at Impact Martial Arts on Main Street, is being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond and is accused of having an "inappropriate relationship" with a juvenile student, according to police.
Police said they received the complaint in March 2024. On Wednesday, Markiv was arrested and is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday. No other details were released by police.
