MIDDLETOWN, CT — An East Hartford man is accused of bullying his way into a the home of a Middletown woman and assaulting her last week, a police report shows.

Angel Manuel Camacho, 26, has been charged in the case with home invasion, risk of injury to a child, first-degree criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call, third-degree assault and first-degree unlawful restraint, records show.

According to an arrest report, at 3:03 p.m. on March 25, a local woman told police she had been assaulted by Comacho. She said that, about two an hour earlier, she was expecting a package and answered the door to he home, only the find Comacho, who then forced his way into the dwelling as she tried to close the door on him, according to an arrest report.

He claimed he was there to "talk about their relationship," according to an arrest report.

Camacho is accused of holding the woman down and striking her, and waking up a child who was asleep on an upper floor, according to an arrest report.

Camacho is accused of pushing her into a wall and then he "continued to be aggressive" as the woman was panicking and crying. He then "forcibly moved her through the living room" and onto a couch, according to an arrest report.

The fracas knocked over a vacuum cleaner and scattered toys about the living room, according to an arrest report.

The woman told police she repeatedly asked Camacho to leave, but he refused and continued to control her movements by holding her down partially by her throat and chest and even had a pillow over her face, according to an arrest report.

Camacho eventually left the home, police said. He was tracked down at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, where he was being seen for "an emergency evaluation," according to an arrest report.
