Together, with the business owners, citizens, my administration and the Common Council, we have worked diligently to continue to make Middletown a flourishing and thriving place to live.
As a lifelong resident of Middletown, I had the privilege of starting my teaching career here at Lawrence School and then went on to become the principal of McDonough School, Bielefield School, Snow School and Woodrow Wilson Middle School; including upon retirement, serving two terms as the Board of Education Chairman and three terms on the Common Council serving as majority leader, and president. I have an extremely unique view of our city on the move.
As mayor, I will continue to listen to learn and to advocate for our great city. I promise to lead by civility, transparency, equity, inclusion and honesty. My priorities have always been public safety, excellence in education and dynamic public works infrastructure.
Our residents, our City Council and City staff join me in welcoming you to the City of Middletown, where your family‘s health, welfare, education and safety are our priority.
Sincerely,
Gene P Nocera
Mayor
