Middletown Arrests: Dec. 4-11

The following information was provided by the Middletown Police public information officer. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.


Middletown Police report the following incidents:

RISK OF INJURY TO CHILD, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, SECOND-DEGREE STRANGULATION — On Dec. 11 at 7:15 a.m., Timothy Robert Connelly, 50, was picked up on an outstanding warrant.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On Dec. 10 at 1:15 p.m., police were called to a home on Saybrook Road on a domestic in which the husband, Lenwood Harrell, 62, of Baer Street, said he had been living in a hotel for the past two weeks since his wife, Blanch Harrell, 53, of Baer Street, had kicked him out, the report says. When he came home that day to retrieve his belongings, police say, his stepson punched in the face and pushed him to the ground after Harrell had told the son that his stepfather had taken money out of the couple's joint bank account. The wife and other family members broke up the fight, the man said, after admitted he had been drinking since 9:30 a.m. and had consumed a pint of brandy, according to the report. Both were charged.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE REGISTRATION SUSPENDED — On Dec. 4 at 9:55 p.m., Carmelo Alfonso, 55, of Green Street, New Britain, was driving a Toyota Camry on South Main Street.
