June 9

TWO COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — Matthew R. Wilcox, 21, of Main Street, Cromwell, turned himself into police on two outstanding warrants

INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — Jason Iannotti, 21, of Esther Drive, Middlefield, was involved in a car accident and admitted he had no insurance, according to the report.

June 6

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — Emilio Rodriguez Jr., 47, of Stack Street was driving a Chrysler Cirrus on Washington Street with a registration belonging to an Oldsmobile Alero. The report says Rodriguez asked why his plate was run through the police system.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — At 6:30 a.m., Thomas M. Dillon, 34, of Saybrook Road turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

FALSELY REPORTING INCIDENT, VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — At 10 a.m., Nilda M. Melendez, 21, of North Avenue, Meriden, turned herself in on an outstanding warrant.

FAILURE TO RESPOND, CARRYING PISTOL WITHOUT PERMIT, ALTERATION OF FIREARM ID NUMBER, WEAPONS IN VEHICLE – At 9:30 p.m., Darrelle McFadden, 20, of Frazier Avenue was a passenger in a car driving on Main Street without headlights lit. The driver, Jorge A. Santiago, 20, of Pineview Drive, East Haven, had a glass jar sticking out of his pocket with burnt marijuana cigarettes inside, individually wrapped bags of marijuana totaling 105.9 grams and an unregistered firearm. McFadden had a .22 caliber unregistered revolver under his seat, according to the report. He also had an outstanding warrant. McFadden was charged with the above and Santiago weapons in a vehicle, carrying a pistol without a permit, alteration of firearm identification number, possession less than 4 ounces marijuana, possession with intent to sell, and distribution of marijuana less than 1,500 feet from a school.

June 4

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — At 6:44 p.m., Destenie L.D. Watford, 25, of Washington Street was driving an Oldsmobile Intrigue on Highland Avenue.

June 3

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — At 5:34 p.m., Carrie Goldsborough, 33, of Main Street, Cromwell, was at Bob's Stores on East Main Street when the loss prevention officer said she was seen taking a $65 pair of Nike sneakers and putting them on, then placed her old sneakers in the box and returned it to the shelf, according to police, and left without paying.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 10 a.m., Francis A. Scerra, 59, of Summer Hill Road was driving on Main Street in a Volkswagen Jetta and not wearing a seat belt.

FAILURE TO WEAR SAFETY BELT IN FRONT SEAT, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 11:47 a.m., Dean Randazzo, 39, of Main Street, Portland, was driving on Spring Street without a front plate and not wearing a seat belt.

BREACH OF PEACE — Shayla Livingston, 20, of Russell Street was at Stop & Shop on East Main Street when police were called about a threatening complaint. She was found with an outstanding warrant.

June 2

FAILURE TO RESPOND TO INFRACTION — At 10:33 p.m., Iris Butler, 42, of Meetinghouse Lane was driving a Suzuki Sidekick on West Lake Drive at an abnormally slow speed, according to the report, below 10mph, and he was hitting the brakes. She was found with an outstanding warrant from Meriden Police.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — Kendrick B. Jackson, 44, of Springhill Road, Trumbull, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — At 8:12 p.m., John Lewis, 42, of Allen Street, New Britain, was driving a Nissan Maxima on Miner Street.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, DUI, TINTED WINDOWS — At 6:11 p.m., John Mierzejewski, 57, of Rising Trail Drive was driving a Mercedes ML320 on Industrial Park Drive, driving extremely close to the double-yellow line, according to the report. The officer said Mierzejewski's eyes were bloodshot and glassy and he admitted to drinking throughout the day, specifying by saying, "enough," then, "I choose not to answer that question." The report says a fixed blade steak knife 8-10 inches long was found in his car and he refused sobriety tests. On the front seat was a 375ml bottle of 80-proof Johnnie Walker Red Label Scotch Whiskey with ¼ remaining, police say, and he declined a breathalyzer test with, "we both knew I had way too much to drink. You can even put that in your report. I don't care."
