Middletown Arrests: Sept. 11-16

Middletown Police announce the following incidents:

Sept. 16

FAILURE TO RESPOND — At 2:27 a.m., Joseph H. Castellano, 20, of Silver Street was walking on Evergreen Street and found with an outstanding warrant from Meriden.

Sept. 15

CARRYING DANGEROUS WEAPON, SECOND-DEGREE CRIMINAL TRESPASS — Angelique J. Aucoin, 21, of High Street was found loitering on Rapallo Avenue while wearing a fixed-blade knife in a sheath on her hip, according to the report, that was four and 3/8th inches long.

Sept. 14

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR, FAILURE TO RESPOND — At about 7 p.m., police were called about a suspicious person, Caleb M. Polak, 20, of Stoneycrest Drive, who was seen riding a bicycle, according to the report. He had an outstanding warrant.

VIOLATION OF PROBATION, INTERFERING WITH AN OFFICER — At about 12:30 p.m. Gregory D. Overton, 39, of Liberty Street walked away from Connecticut Valley Hospital, according to the report, while he was a patient and found to have an outstanding warrant. Police say he has mental health issues, is violent and has fought with police in the past. At 2 p.m., Overton was found standing at the corner of River Road and Eastern Drive and walked from police when told to stop so a canine was brought in as he ran on the train tracks and finally surrendered, the report says. On the way to the cruiser, police say, Overton who was very agitated, started to threaten police and the dog 

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — At 6:33 p.m., a loss prevention officer at Bob's Stores on East Main Street saw Acacio Coelho, 45, of Liberty Street taking a Boston Red Sox baseball jersey with $99.99 without paying by placing it under his sweatshirt, according to the report. 

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — At 12:29 p.m., Erika Tenebaum, 25, argued with her live-in fiancé, Fred A. Pinero, 34, both of Newfield Street on Main Street outside La Boca Restaurant, according to the report, she grabbed his shirt and ripped it, then hit him with her purse. Both were arrested.

Sept. 13

BREACH OF PEACE — At 10 a.m., Dianna K. Dozier, 64, of Afton Terrace turned herself in on an outstanding warrant.

SECOND-DEGREE DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 11:05 p.m., police were called by a woman who said she didn't want Rodney L. Mouzone, 45, of Green Street to sleep in the same bed with her so she locked the door and when she opened it, they argued and he punched her in the face, according to the report. That's when he scratched his own face, the report says, and said he was going to have her arrested. Mouzone told officers he only pushed her face; his face wasn't scratched and the victim's nose didn't look swollen, according to police.

Sept. 11

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE AND WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — Ellison R. Handy, 37, of Catherine Street was driving a Ford Edge on Washington Street.
