UPDATE: Middletown Cat Owner Passes Away; Cat Urgently in Need of Home Adopted
Shyanne the cat was adopted, Middletown's Animal Control Officer said.

Shyanne the cat owner recently passed away and Middletown Animal Control posted on Facebook and said no family or friends could take the cat and while people were taking care of her temporarily, it was expected she would be homeless by Nov. 30.
“... She needs a home by Nov. 30th as her apartment will be emptied by then,” Middletown Animal Control said via Facebook. “We are full up with cats and don’t even have one cage to put her in at the moment. Shyanne is a 5-year-old, spayed female. She is friendly but used to a quiet home with a single owner.”
In a Nov. 18 update, Animal Control said Shyanne was officially adopted.
