Locations Announced For Cooling Centers, Fire Hydrant Sprinklers
Middletown has designated several buildings and is opening fire hydrant sprinklers at different locations from Wednesday through Sunday.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown has designated several buildings as cooling centers through Sunday, July 26.
City officials encourage residents who need respite from the heat to seek air-conditioned comfort in public buildings.
The lobby of the Middletown Police Department, 222 Main Street, is open 24 hours a day and will be available as a cooling station.

Other public facilities and the Russell Library on Branch Street will be available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Elderly persons are encouraged to use the Middletown Senior Center on Durant Terrace during business hours. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The city hall lobby is also available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
To provide respite from the heat and a little fun, Middletown is opening fire hydrant sprinklers starting Wednesday through Sunday at the following locations.
- The Highlands Crescent Drive bus stop from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Julia Terrace from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Maplewood Terrace from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Summer Hill Road and Woodbury Circle from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Macdonough School from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Santangelo Circle from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
