Middletown Police Dog Team Heads To Brown University To Lend Support

A Middletown police dog team is helping out at Brown University after the recent shooting incident there.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Middletown police dog team is helping out at Brown University aftr the recent shooting incident there.

At the request of the Brown University Police Department, Middletown canine handler officer Jason Bodell and canine partner Bear assisted with peer support and trauma response at the campus

For two days, they met with students, staff, first responders and residents affected by the incident.

On Today they were joined in Providence by the Meriden, Colchester, New London and Southern Connecticut State University police departments, all who have dogs from @puppies.behind.bars, specifically trained for those =types of incidents.

"Different patches, same mission — comfort, support and creating smiles in times of need," police said. "Our thoughts are with all those affected by this incident."
