Officers Collecting Turkey Donations at Stop & Shop, Price Chopper
Middletown Police say organizers fear that the project could be short about 200 turkeys this year.

As you head out to grocery shop this weekend, consider picking up an extra turkey to donate to the Middletown Community Thanksgiving Project.
Middletown Police Department staff are collecting turkeys beginning today for the charitable project established three years ago to ensure that all Middletown families who couldn’t afford to purchase a Thanksgiving meal could still enjoy a feast that holiday.
Made up of volunteers from nonprofit organizations, businesses, faith communities, and civic groups and funded in large part by the Middletown Rotary, the Middletown Community Thanksgiving Project will assemble baskets of food for 700 families this year.
