Middletown Public Schools Hosting 2 Back-To-School Events
The first day of classes at Middletown Public Schools is Thursday, Aug. 31.

MIDDLETOWN, CT – Middletown Public Schools are hosting two back-to-school events before the start of school on Aug. 31.
The first is the kindergarten registration event open to all soon-to-be kindergartners attending any Middletown Public School.
It will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 8, and Thursday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bielefield Elementary School, 70 Maynard Street.

All kindergartners starting this fall must be five years old on or before Jan. 1, 2024.
There are several steps to register your child(ren) for kindergarten. First, check the Schools By Streets for the school in your home district, then fill out the registration form for the 2023-24 school year. Once the form has been submitted online, you’ll receive an email confirmation and request to provide copies of all required residency documentation and update CT health forms to the school that serves your address.

Your child’s registration will not be finalized until all the documents and forms are received.

The second event is on Aug. 18 for Middletown Public Schools students, parents and guardians.
On Friday, Aug. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Beman Middle School, 1 Wilderman's Way, Middletown Public Schools will host a back-to-school event for all students.
There will be free backpacks, supplies and fun at the event.
