Obituary: Genevieve "Jean" Bish, 92, of Middletown

Genevieve Barbara “Jean” (Was) Bish, 92, of Middletown, wife of the late Stanley V. Bish, died Friday January 8, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in New Britain, daughter of the late Michael and Louise (Drelekiewicz) Was. Jean and her husband Stanley were owners of Bish Electric. She loved spending time with her family, dancing, bowling and traveling.

Genevieve is survived by her sons, Ronald S. Bish and his wife Dorothy of Middletown, David J. Bish and his companion, Robbin L. Austin of Old Saybrook; daughters, Judy Ann Raymond of Middletown, Gail Marie Duda and her husband Bill of Middletown; longtime companion, Raymond Wasowicz of Marlborough; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Helen Parzyck.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 11a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Westfield St., Middletown. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Middletown.
