PD: City Man Charged with Stealing $17,000 Car
Connecticut State Police were alerted that the Ford Focus a 24-year-old Middletown man was driving had been reported stolen.

On July 19 at 3:54 p.m., police searching for a stolen 2013 Ford Focus discovered it at 88 Woodward Street, where Omar Espinal, 24, of Main Street was found upstairs at the home, according to the report.
Police say the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Connecticut State Police Troop H from Hartford.
The Focus, valued at $17,495, had been involved in a prior incident on Court Street being investigated by police, the report says.

Espinal was charged second-degree larceny and an outstanding warrant for second-degree failure to appear.
A check of the Connecticut Judicial Branch website shows Espinal was arrested in Meriden on June 8 for following too closely and illegal operation with a suspended license. In February, he was arrested in Middletown for third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, and then in May and July for second-degree failure to appear.
