MIDDLETOWN, CT — The search has been suspended for the person associated with a car that plunged into the Connecticut River late last month Middletown police said.

Police are said they were still not releasing the name of the person associated with the incident.

On Feb. 26, a car was located in a section of the Connecticut River in Middletown. It had gone into the river the previous night.

The car was found by dive teams in the area of a boathouse and ramp used to launch non-powered craft like kayaks and crew shells, police said.

Police said there was no threat to the public.
