Teen Sent To Hospital, Another Arrested After Stabbing In Middletown
Middletown police arrested a teenager after another teen was stabbed Thursday night, a report indicates.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — One teen was arrested and another was taken to a hospital after a Thursday night stabbing incident in Middletown, police said.
On Thursday, at 8:44 p.m., Middletown Officers responded to an address on Grand Street after receiving a report about a stabbing. At the scene, officers found a 15-year-old boy who had been stabbed in the abdomen, according to an incident report.
The boy was taken to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and he was listed in stable condition late Thursday night, according to an incident report.

During the preliminary investigation, officers determined the assault occurred in the general area of High Street and Grand Street, according to an incident report. A short time later, officers located a suspect in the case and arrested the 16-year-old boy.
He was charged with assault and breach of peace, both in the second degree, police said.

This assault was determined to be an isolated incident and "there is no threat to public safety," police said.
The City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073 posted on Facebook that "Engine 1 responded to this very unfortunate incident tonight."
