Thinking of Joining Armed Services? Head to Middletown Saturday

The Connecticut congressional delegation will host its annual 2013 Military Service Academy Day at the MG Maurice Rose Armed Forces Reserve Center in Middletown. 

Students interested in applying to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, or the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London are encouraged to attend. 

This event provides candidates an opportunity to have any questions answered by staff from the Congressional delegation and academies, and to gain a better understanding of each academy’s admission process.

Academy applicants, Congressional staff and academy admissions staff will take part.

The Major General Maurice Rose Armed Forces Reserve Center is at 375 Smith St., Middletown. The event runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
