Threats Made Against Middletown Schools Investigated: Police
Middletown Police Department and Middletown Public Schools say they are working together to keep teachers, staff and students safe.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — In a joint statement, Middletown Public Schools and the Middletown Police Department (MDP) said they are aware of threats a local citizen made against the school system.
As MPS and MPD work together in close coordination, they said they want families, employees and community members of the school district to understand that the individual who made these threats is being monitored and that certain laws and protections have been enacted to protect all involved and/or named.
The school district has enacted MPS Board of Education Policy #1260, which denies the individual long-term access to school property, school buildings, or activities sponsored by the school district.
