- Women who live in Middlesex County live to age 82.1 to 84, according to a new study which compares New Haven County residents, who it found lived to age 80.1 to 82. Read the full story here.
- More Hispanics and Latinos are moving to Middlesex County, so much so that this section of Connecticut saw the state's highest increase from 2011 to 2012. See here for the full story.
- On July 31, you are invited to see what the kids enrolled in the Kids Arts summer arts enrichment camps of North End Arts Rising learned on their school break. Youth will present a celebration of their accomplishment in the Mixed Media Fusion and Melody In Motion programs five week program. The fun takes place at Macdonough School at 5 p.m

- The Middletown Clean Energy Task Force encourages residents to take advantage of Home Energy Solutions, which offers homeowners and renters a chance to reduce their energy costs.
