Household hazardous waste is products that can cause a threat to public health or the environment. You may be surprised at the amount of this stuff you have in your home.

Do you have old paint cans in your garage? An old car battery hanging around? These may be pretty obvious examples of hazardous waste. But, did you know that the products that you clean your home are also included in this category?

In previous years, Middletown has worked with MDC for Household Hazardous Waste Collections. This past fall, MDC decided not to continue including the Midstate Region towns in its events.

The city is now researching new options for its Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event. A Collection Day will be held in October. Details will be posted when they become available. Read more information about Middletown disposal here.
