What Is One Characteristic Of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. That Still Resonates Today?

Response By Ms. Anita Ford Saunders, President Of TheMiddlesex County NAACP

"What I admired most about Dr. King was his courage and integrity. Discouragement comes in many forms and can stop or delay the work we must do to achieve equity. Dr. King had the courage to keep going, pushing, and did so with honor. We cannot stand by, nor be silenced by fear especially now. White separatists show up in different ways and are working overtime to dismantle the vision Dr. King had of all men/women becoming equal. We cannot let anyone pull apart our peace or our purpose.I have the opportunity, as the new president of the Middlesex County NAACP, to act as a catalyst, reach out to allies, and help build a community that is equitable for those whose voices may not be heard."
