5 Teens Caught Burglarizing Cars In Milford: Police
The boys were are young as 13 and were traveling in a vehicle reported stolen out of North Haven, police said.
MILFORD, CT — A group of boys, some as young as 13, were caught burglarizing cars Sunday morning while traveling in a stolen vehicle, according to Milford police.
Residents reported that the teens were looking in parked cars in the Great River area, and officers responded, using Stop Sticks to disable the stolen vehicle and apprehend the five boys, ages 17-13, on Wheelers Farm Road near Interstate 95, police said.
The officers found evidence the teens had stolen from nearby cars and their vehicle was seized and found to be reported stolen out of North Haven, according to police.

“We are grateful for the watchful eyes of our residents who immediately called police,” the Milford Police Department said in a social media post.
“Because these offenders operate under the cloak of darkness when people are sleeping and neighborhoods are quiet, we rely on the public to be our eyes and ears in the field. MPD will continue to deploy additional police officers throughout Milford to address this continuing problem that is occurring throughout our state and beyond.”
