Boys & Girls Village to Host Golf Tournament and Fundraiser
All proceeds will directly fund news classrooms, vocational learning space and educational technology for BGV's Charles F. Hayden School.

From the Boys & Girls Village: Boys & Girls Village (BGV), a statewide leader in providing behavioral health treatment, permanency planning, and educational services to Connecticut’s most vulnerable youth and their families, is planning an exciting and entertaining day and evening of activities to benefit the expansion of BGV’s Charles F. Hayden School. The “Fore Change” Golf Tournament and Evening Fundraiser will be held on Monday June 5 at the Race Brook Country Club in Orange.
The 8,300 square-foot expansion of the Upper School will accommodate the recent addition of the 11th and 12th grades which allows BGV to offer a valuable continuum of educational services to its students. The expansion will include a larger student center and gymnasium, additional classroom space, and a full-size cafeteria. BGV also intends to purchase books, computers, and other educational materials for its students to use.
“Boys & Girls Village has experienced unprecedented growth over the past five years; we have almost doubled in size in terms of our school, our staff, and the programs we offer," said Dr. Steven M. Kant, President and CEO of BGV. “The day of golf and evening fundraiser provides a fun way for people to support the necessary expansion of our school, which will allow BGV to connect a greater number of children and families in Connecticut to the valuable care, support, and education our agency offers.”
