Cecelia Warakomski, 84, of Milford, CT passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025.

Cecelia's warmth, infectious joy, and most of all her unconditional love will be deeply missed and forever cherished by many.

Cecelia Warakomski, 84, of Milford, CT beloved wife of James J Warakomski, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. Born on January 9, 1941 in Galway, Ireland, in the heart of the Claddagh. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Collins) McDonagh. Cecelia was predeceased by her beloved sons, John and Patrick Warakomski.

Cecelia devoted her entire life to her family. To those closest to her, she was “Mommo,” a mother who believed her boys could do no wrong—whether or not that was always true. As a grandmother she never said the word “No”. Her life was vibrant and memorable as the people she loved. She alongside her husband Jim, poured her entrepreneurial spirit into their family businesses—first as co-founders of Tri-City Appliance, which continues to thrive under the care of their family. And then as owners of Jiffy Jim’s Laundry Mat and Drycleaners. Her tea leaf readings were legendary, gifted with an incredible intuition, she became well known for her ability to bring comfort, understanding, and guidance to many. She was happiest surrounded by her family, and hosting her famous Christmas morning brunch. She was timeless and elegant even in the last years of her life, complete with her signature French manicure and the attentive work of not one, but two devoted hair stylists Sam and Cindy. Cecelia’s warmth, infectious joy, love for music and dance, and most of all her unconditional love will be deeply missed and forever cherished by many.

In addition to her loving husband, Jim, Cecelia is survived by her children, Seamus (Phyllis) Warakomski, Rob (Jennifer) Warakomski, Maureen (Tony) Mazzonna, her grandchildren, Amanda (Christopher) Root, Seamus Patrick (Samantha Alder) Warakomski, Cassidy Warakomski, Isabella Warakomski, Lauren (John) Prete, and Michael (Sara) Mazzonna. Great grandchildren, Cecelia, Charlotte, Conor, Neo, Christopher, Genevieve, and Benjamin; siblings, Richard (Mae) McDonagh, Nora (Paddy) Welch, and Claire Feeney; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family both in America and Ireland.
