Child Rescued After Falling Between Train And Platform In Milford

MILFORD, CT — A four-year-old girl who fell onto railroad tracks in Milford Sunday was rescued by her mother who lifted the child to safety, fire officials said.

The girl fell between the train and the platform while boarding, officials said.

"She was lowered to the ground by her mother and then assisted back to the platform," Milford fire chief Anthony Fabrizi said via email.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. and fire officials told the CT Post the child only had a small laceration and was not taken to the hospital. However, officials told Patch the child was not injured.
