Citizens Police Academy Starts Soon In Milford

MILFORD, CT — The Citizens Police Academy will return to Milford beginning Jan. 27.

Applications can be emailed to crimeprevention@milfordct.gov or dropped off at the police department.

Those interested in participating must be at least 21 years old, a Milford resident/tax payer, and have no felony convictions.

The academy offers an "opportunity to learn about operations, responsibilities, and capabilities of our department," according to a flyer.

Topics include patrol, administrative division, detective bureau, specialized units, K-9, CPR training, DUI, firearms, and ride along.

Classes are Tuesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
