Why are you seeking this office?
Over the past 20 years I have witnessed Milford prosper and grow. I have heard residents needs and believe that Milford's growth can best serve its residents with a more centered and moderate approach to fiscal responsibility.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
excessive taxing
It is easy to see that over growth that has taken over Milford. Yet, it is hard to reconcile with the ever increasing taxes on the residents. I intend to work with all parties to reach a budget without having Milford residents bear the cost.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am a moderate Republican with independent roots. I find that it is best to work with both sides of the aisle to improve the lives of Milford residents.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Over growth.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
For 20 years, I have served as a Federal Fiduciary for over 100 Veterans, for which I am tasked to balance their monthly budgets and ensure that their needs are met. I must balance their interests with the practicality of their budget constraints and need for future planning.
This daily human analysis is exactly what is needed on Milford's Board of Alderman, instead of a focus on party lines.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
The best advice that I have received is to lead and serve with compassion for my neighbors.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I will work to ensure that the best interests of our residents are served.
I am married to a lifelong Milford Democrat. Our union has created three budding independent children. Who knows what their future political affiliations will be; however, in our home, we each have a voice and we all respect each other. This is what is missing in today's politics. This simple approach is what I can offer to Milford residents.
